Overview George Bernard Noble (1892-1972) was Professor of Political Science at Reed from 1922 through 1947. A Rhodes scholar from the University of Washington, he served in the Army during World War I, then received a Ph.D. from Columbia University before teaching at several universities and then coming to Reed.
